Borders on the Flimsies

Added borders to this flimsy, finishes at a 42” square. Fun bright colors. Got it from a friend and was a almost finished. Measured 22½”x32”. Added 4 rows and then the borders.

This flimsy finishes at 42”x 54”. This was made from my scrap bin. Funny how the bin is still over flowing.

This quilt was a quick finish for Project Linus. Layered it with the right sides together, batting on the bottom. Then sewn around the edges leaving 10” open, turned and top stitched around the edge. Sewn again 3” from the edge. I finished it by tacking every 6” on the seams with a decorative stitch. This went fast, programed my machine to back stitch, do 2 repeats of the decorative stitch, then back stitch and cut. Almost like ties, but no loose ends.

I've linked over to Crazy Mom Quilts for other Friday Finishes.

Very cute quilts! The top one looks like it has some vintage fabric in it - fun! And a nice, feminine theme in the other one.

It is funny how that scrap bin never seems to get smaller. My personal theory is that, when you go through it looking for scraps, you "fluff" it and then it seems to be bigger. hahahaha!
